What is HYROX?

HYROX is an exhilarating sport that demands a perfect blend of aerobic endurance, running prowess, and functional strength. Our program has been meticulously crafted to prepare you holistically for the challenges that lie ahead. Whether your self-perceived weakness is in running or strength, we've got you covered!

The Balanced Approach:

At the heart of our program lies a balanced approach that targets all the essential aspects of HYROX performance. From improving your aerobic base and running capabilities, developing your strength and strength endurance to honing your pacing awareness in a mixed model setting, we leave no stone unturned.

Flexible Training Schedule:

We understand that life can be busy, so we provide the flexibility to adjust your training days to suit your schedule. With five sessions per week, each training day is programmed to be completed within a 60-minute window. As your competition date draws closer, some sessions may extend up to 90 minutes to fine-tune your pacing strategies and transitions.

Athletes will be able to opt for a more strength bias, or running bias programme. This will be chosen based on their self-perceived weakness in the sport of HYROX.

Your 12-Week Journey:

Upon signing up, you'll receive a detailed 12-week training program. Each week, you'll have five training days with a day of rest between them, allowing your body to recover and optimise performance. The program is designed for those starting on a Monday, but fret not if you prefer a different start day, use the following guidelines:

Day 1 - Session 1

Day 2 - Session 2

Day 3 - Session 3

Day 4 - REST

Day 5 - Session 4

Day 6 - Session 5

Day 7 - REST

A Unique Approach:

Our HYROX program stands out from others on the market. We've carefully integrated traditional strength and conditioning principles to ensure you peak at the 12-week mark. The program commences with an accumulation phase that priotises health and structural balance, keeping injuries at bay.

Phase 1

During the accumulation phase, strength work, skill work and running are meticulously isolated to enhance efficiency and build a solid foundation, before adding these elements into a more sport specific setting.

Phase 2

As you progress, the intensification phase fine-tunes your strength and conditioning work to complement HYROX sport-specific sessions. Our focus remains on adequate rest, recovery, and preventing overtraining to ensure long-term health and peak performance.

Phase 3

In the final phase, you'll enter the pre-competition stage. This is where the magic happens, and you'll be engaged in HYROX simulations, putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. Pacing strategies and race plans will be refined to perfection, giving you the edge over your rivals.

Expert Guidance & Resources:

Included in your Premium programme, you will enjoy benefit from being assigned a coach. You’ll receive personalised feedback and guidance along your journey. As well as be provided with instructional videos, tips, advice, and coach's notes, providing invaluable insights into each training stimulus. We believe in empowering athletes, which is why we emphasise the importance of self-regulation, helping you stay consistent in your training and reach your peak potential.

What about doubles?

For those participating in Men's, Women's, or Mixed Doubles competitions, we recommend starting training together at the 8-week mark. If you prefer to train together throughout the entire 12 weeks, that's fantastic too! Teamwork makes the dream work, after all.

Equipment Requirements:

To excel in this program, you'll need some essential equipment, including a barbell with plates, squat rack, dumbbells, bench, sled with rope attachment, Concept 2 Rowing Machine, Concept 2 Ski Erg, outdoor running space or treadmill, medicine ball, kettlebells, sandbags, and access to some form of bike if possible.
